Bibenda

The Italian Sommelier Foundation collaborates with Bibenda Editore, that has been writing the iconic Bibenda guide for more than twenty years, an Italian reference for the world of wine and catering, for professionals or simple food and wine lovers.
Thanks to three types of wine produced by the Azienda Agricola Montioni, the participation in the 2016 Bibenda Guide was a great success!
- Montefalco Sagrantino D.O.C.G. : awarded with 4 Bunches – a great quality wine of striking value, a very high-quality product.
“Very dark ruby. On the nose sensations of black fruit jam, freshly loam soil, menthol, ash, turmeric and cumin, some ideas of brine. On the palate the tannin is well managed, as well as alcoholic vehemence.”
- Montefalco Rosso D.O.C.: awarded with 3 Bunches – a good quality wine and special refinement.
“On the nose, the impact of exotic spices, then blackberry, plum, eucalyptus, iron, and undergrowth open up. Intense berry, very silky tannin. Slightly woody in the finish.”
- Grechetto I.G.T: awarded with 3 Bunches – a good quality wine and special refinement.
“On the nose, there is a lively dialogue woven between a floral part (broom) and fruity hints, which recall white peach and plum. Fresh and typically almondy, it is definitely well made.”
