Two varieties are available, the choice is yours:
- Monocultivar oil made from 100% Moraiolo olive variety, harvested in first days of October, stands out for its robust, bitter, and spicy flavour as well as for its aroma of fresh aromatic herbs.
- The oil produced from 50% Moraiolo and 50% Frantoio olive varieties, harvested by hand since mid-October, is an extra virgin olive oil of Montefalco with a sweet but slightly spicy flavour, and the aroma of fresh grass and almond.

How we produce our Montioni Montefalco Oil?
The Montionis’ olive grove extends for 9 hectares in the area of Montefalco (in the province of Perugia) and includes both secular and younger olive trees. The two olive varieties of the Azienda Agricola Montioni – Moraiolo and Frantoio – are purely native and typical of Umbria. Olives from the Montionis’ olive grove are harvested by hand, or with small facilitators, because respect for traditions and nature is essential for the Montionis throughout the production process. One of the most important stages of the entire Montioni Montefalco oil manufacturing operation is the cold pressing, which makes our Montioni extra virgin olive oil a valuable product since it does not require any chemical treatment and strongly preserves all organoleptic and nutritional properties of the olives.
